All Day Workshops

Join poet William Howell on a visit to several of Crestone’s many spiritual centers for a day of readings, writing, sharing and celebration. Includes lunch. Meet at Crestone Post Office at 10:00 AM with your own transportation. We’ll carpool. Bring writing materials. Limited to 12 participants.
Join poet and artist Maureen Eich VanWalleghan for a workshop on illustrating your poetry.
Enjoy the fun of bringing poetry and visual art together (even if you consider yourself artistically challenged).
Session 1: 10:00 to 11:30; Session 2: 2:00 to 3:30. Lunch on your own.
Bring five completed poems.
Materials provided: magazines, glue, scissors, pens, paints, brushes, and paper.

Writing Nada
Join poet Sharon Corcoran for an exploration of space, silence, and poetry at the Nada Carmelite Hermitage, a spectacular setting overlooking the San Luis Valley. An afternoon immersion for anyone who delights in the contemplative practice of poem making. All religious persuasions (or lack thereof) are welcome. Bring writing materials.
Flight from the Palm
In this Flight from the Palm workshop, join June Lucarotti CYT-200, MFA to dive into the chakras in a whole new way. The workshop includes krama vinyasa yoga flow & restorative yoga paired with creative writing exercises. Writing exercises will be prose, poetry, and hybrid forms. Participants will work their way from the root chakra up to the crown chakra, healing, creating, and sharing. Workshop available in Spanish & English.
